Our Approach to Veterinary Care in Birmingham, AL

Double Oak Mountain Animal Hospital has proudly served families in the Greater Birmingham community since 1997. Since 2021, the hospital has undergone extensive updating and modernization under the attentive ownership of seasoned Birmingham veterinarians Dr. Jason Vargas and Dr. David Daniels. Keeping our family-centered values at the forefront of our practice, DOMAH has transformed into a modern, full service veterinary facility offering a broad range of small animal care, advanced diagnostics, and surgery.

Perhaps you recently welcomed a new four-legged addition to the family, or maybe you’re just seeking a veterinary partner who will treat you with the respect, compassion, and individual attention you both deserve. Whatever the need, we invite you to come see what we’re all about–or better yet, stop by and visit with us! We are always happy to help.

What Makes Us Different?

At Double Oak Mountain Animal Hospital, we understand the level of trust required to place your pet’s health and wellbeing into someone else’s hands. Our goal is to foster a calm and welcoming environment for pets and their owners.  We offer routine medical, dental, and surgical care as well as emergency treatment. We strive to offer modern, progressive, and professional treatments for your pet whether they come to our clinic for a regular checkup or something more serious.

Our History

Double Oak Mountain Animal Hospital takes pride in having served the families and pets in Birmingham for over 20 years. Since 1997, we’ve welcomed both routine and emergency patients from the greater Birmingham, Hoover, and Chelsea areas.  Throughout our history, we’ve worked hard to give back to the community we serve.  Our hospital is happy to support local community organizations, including the Oak Mountain High School Volleyball Team, Alabama School of Fine Arts, and the Liberty Park Elementary PTO.

Mission Statement

Our mission statement at Double Oak Mountain Animal Hospital is to serve, love, and care for pets and their owners.  For our veterinarians, to serve is a commitment to providing top-quality veterinary care. To love is to give the best of ourselves for the good of the animals we treat. To care ensures we explore all avenues in identifying and finding ways to meet the needs of patients and their families, no matter the cost.

We keep a few core values close to us at Double Oak Mountain Animal Hospital, and those are service to our community, convenience for our clients, compassion for our patients, and first-rate care. When you bring your pet to see our staff, they’ll receive the same level of love and attention that we would show to our own pets.
